The last days of summer are upon us and not long at all, the dreaded season will be in high gear. In fact, some would say the scary season has already arrived after Monster Cereals are officially back in stores. Over the past week, General Mills has launched Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry to markets across the country. Not only that, but the cereal maker has also revived a fourth monster of the season: the Frute Brute is now available for the first time since 2013.
The four boxes share a new design this year as a result of General Mills’ partnership with KAWS, a pop culture artist who works on promotional items for the brand.
“This year’s first seasonal Monster game also featured the return of the Frute Brute, which joins other monsters on the shelves with its first appearance since 2013, as well as other spooky surprises coming later this fall. Frute Brute is known for its ‘Howlin’ ‘good taste of fruit’ Many collectors have the most sought-after classic pill, due in part to its appearance in various blockbuster films of the 1990s.
